SUNBUTTER SAUCE
1/2 cup SunButter® Natural
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
WAFFLES
1-1/2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups buttermilk
OPTIONAL GARNISH
Chocolate Chips and/or Butterscotch Chips
Directions

- In a small saucepan, over low heat, stir together SunButter, honey, butter and powdered sugar until well combined and melted.
- Remove from heat and set aside until all waffles are cooked.
- Preheat Belgian waffle iron according to manufacturers instructions.
- In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Whisk to combine.
- In medium bowl, beat together eggs, melted butter, vanilla and buttermilk until combined.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, batter will be slightly lumpy.
- Cook according to waffle iron instructions.
- While waffles are cooking, prepare the SunButter Sauce.
- Drizzle sauce over warm waffles and serve.
- Garnish with chocolate and butterscotch chips if desired.
