Our Favorite SunButter Sweets

Team SunButter

Not everyone has a sweet tooth, but I always have. I do my best to keep sweets away, but there are just times when life calls for something to balance the salty. I love pairing SunButter with sweet things, and SunButter has a great variety of recipes on their website. They even offer a free Recipe Book as a download on their website with 25 peanut free recipes and serving suggestions. These are some of my favorite sweet SunButter recipes:

SunButter Sunny Chow

One of my all-time favorite recipes! Muddy Buddies, Puppy Chow, or Sunny Chow– whatever you call it, it’s still the perfect blend of crunch and sweetness. I love that this recipe is still delicious and loved by all in its peanut-free, allergy-friendly glory. It’s easy, quick and great for taking to a potluck, picnic, or holiday gathering, and can be a great conversation starter on how you made it allergy-friendly. I’ve never met anyone that could tell this recipe wasn’t made with peanut butter….and the bowl is always empty at the end of a party!

SunButter Syrup - Mom vs. Food Allergy

Easy SunButter Syrup

My kiddos could eat pancakes every day of the week, but we don’t because of the high sugar content. When I decided to try this recipe, I was happy to have the SunButter in the syrup for added protein. I’m sure my kids enjoyed it much better than the usual spoonful of SunButter that I usually put next to their pancakes. I thought it was a delicious twist on the regular pancake syrup we use, and the kids gave it a “thumbs up”. I might even try it as an oatmeal mix in, a baked oatmeal drizzle, or a quick fruit dip!

SunButter Sea Salt Brownie - Mom vs. Food Allergy

SunButter Sea Salt Brownies

One of my favorite flavors to munch on is a sweet-n-salty combo, and this recipe was immediately added to my list of treats to try! We are egg free due to my son’s egg allergy, but we simply used an egg substitute in the brownie portion of this recipe. Because there was no egg, the brownie layer was super fudge-like and we loved it! The SunButter icing is the perfect sweetness, and the sea salt sprinkled on top was my absolute favorite. If you’re a brownie lover, get in your kitchen and whip these up– you won’t be disappointed!
