On the Go with SunButter at the Walt Disney World Resort

Team SunButter

Living close to the Walt Disney World Resort, I spend a lot of time at the parks and resorts. And like many visitors to the “happiest place on earth,” sometimes I need a snack (or two!) to keep me going in between riding the attractions, watching the fireworks, and meeting my favorite characters. Thankfully, I’ve got SunButter On the Go Single Cups to bring with me for an easy allergy friendly portable snack to go with my gluten free pretzels, apple slices, or veggies. All I need are a few SunButter cups in my bag, and I’m good to go! Here are a few of my favorite places, attractions, and even a few snack tips while you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Oh the places, you will go…with SunButter and Disney!

Disney World is a truly magical place, so it’s hard to choose just a few of my favorite places. If you’re a Star Wars fan, one of my favorite newest places is the Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. It’s a Star Wars fan’s dream with collectibles, displays, and even a chance to meet your favorite Star Wars characters. Just make sure you share some SunButter with Chewbacca!

If you love learning about science, technology, and nature, Epcot is the theme park for you. One of my favorite spots to visit at Epcot is the Land Pavilion in Future World. You can take a leisurely boat ride through Disney’s greenhouse and learn about food production. If you’re up for a tour, the Behind the Seeds tour lets you go even further behind the scenes with a guided tour that even includes sampling some of the freshly grown vegetables there. Perfect for dipping into SunButter.

It can’t get more classic than Disney’s Magic Kingdom. From Cinderella’s Castle to Main Street U.S.A., you’ll be wowed by every magical moment you experience in this theme park. My favorite spot in the Magic Kingdom has to be the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, your highway in the sky for a bird’s eye view of the Magic Kingdom. It’s a slow moving track that gives you amazing views and a little bit of a break from the busy streets of the Magic Kingdom. I’ve been known to grab a quick few bites of a snack too while the PeopleMover is slowly moving through the park.

It’s all about the attractions!

When you think of Disney World, you probably think of all the fun rides that can be found in the theme parks. Though Disney cast members (Disney-speak for employees) will let you know there’s “no eating or drinking,” on the attractions, you’re bound to build up an appetite after a busy day riding classics like Space Mountain and Star Tours. Here are my favorite attractions by theme park.

  • Carousel of Progress (Disney’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park): Take a journey through the 20th century and learn about the progress we have made with technology. Originally designed for the 1964 World’s Fair, the Carousel of Progress has seen some changes over the years, but as they say in the attraction, “That’s progress for ya!”
  • The Great Movie Ride (Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park): Hurray for Hollywood! This movie themed attraction sponsored by Turner Classic Movies takes you on a tour of classic Hollywood films. It’s filled with lights, camera, and action!
  • Kilimanjaro Safari (Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park): From the moment you step into your safari vehicle, you will feel like you are transported to the African Savannah. You’ll get a chance to see some critically endangered species and learn about conservation efforts – and how you can help in too.
  • Spaceship Earth (Disney’s Epcot Theme Park): If you liked Carousel of Progress, you’ll love Spaceship Earth, a time-traveling look at communication. It’s one of the longest attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort, and it’s the only attraction housed in a giant geosphere dome. Yes, that giant ball that is the symbol for Epcot is actually an attraction. And a classic one you’ll want to check out on your next Disney vacation.

Food at Disney rocks!

The Walt Disney World Resort is known for being one of the top food allergy-friendly destinations in the world. So, it goes without saying, the food is pretty amazing there for those guests with special dietary needs. From allergy-friendly Mickey waffles to allergy-friendly popcorn, there’s a little something for everyone. But, dining in the Disney parks and resorts can be pricey. What’s a Disney guest to do? Why bring your own snacks, of course! Per Disney policy, guests with special dietary needs are allowed to bring in their own snacks. So, you know I’m always armed with some SunButter cups. They are easy because I can buy portions of my snack in the park and top it with SunButter.

One of my favorite go-to spots for purchasing snack options to go with my SunButter On the Go Single Cups is Liberty Square Market in the Magic Kingdom. It’s a one-stop-shop for fresh fruit, vegetables, and chips. I personally prefer my SunButter with a side of apple slices, which you can get pre-packaged at Liberty Square Market. If you like the classic “Ants on a Log” combo with celery slices, you can even find them there too, so you can make your own SunButter “Ants on a Log.” Whatever snack combination you prefer, Liberty Square Market has got options to mix and match your SunButter snacking.

If you don’t have the chance to bring in your SunButter cups with you, you can get your SunButter fix with Disney’s Snacks with Character allergy-friendly snack product line. My favorite? The chocolate sunseed bar featuring…you guessed it…SunButter. Look for Snacks with Character throughout the parks and resorts in shops and even snack carts, like Liberty Square Market.
