Pass the SunButter, It’s National Nutrition Month!

March is National Nutrition Month® sponsored by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The Nielsen Group also learned that food labels are an important guide to health choices, with 55 percent of respondents indicating they select foods based on the ingredients lists. This desire for knowledge, combined with increasing interest in buying “organic,” “natural,” “non-GMO,” and “gluten-free” products within both grocery and specialty stores means food producers need to be aware of what they are putting into their products.
