Mothers Love SunButter & Bacon SunButter Rollups!

Team SunButter

Mothers make it a priority to share love and magic with their children each and every day throughout the year. For some, it can be creating a new recipe that is secretly full of healthy, hidden proteins like SunButter. For others, it can be as simple as writing a note for someone’s lunchbox to bring a smile to their face. This all begins the moment they can relate to the word “mother” and it continues on through generations, even beyond their own children. The true secret is learning how to keep it alive for her. Mother’s Day is the perfect day to rekindle this by showering her with proof that all of her wisdom has not gone unnoticed. The trick is to find unique and creative ways of letting mom exhale for the day and inhale the love.

Simple Can Be Everything
Over thinking Mother’s Day can cause more grief than good–keep things simple and subtle. Some mothers appreciate “above and beyond” but for most, the best present comes from spending quality time with the ones that she loves without a lot of hustle and bustle. Insist that the day be about her and give her options that will not overwhelm her, just make her feel special. After an entire year of having to make decisions upon decisions, offer to help her choose some of her favorite things. It could even be which variety of SunButter she would like for the snack that you want to bring to her.

Simple Can Be Something Cooked
One of the sweetest things for a mother to see is her family preparing something together for her in the kitchen. The anticipation of wondering what will be brought to her and how messy the kitchen will be without her having to clean it up brings an instant smile to any mom. Family and food are connected in so many memories that it’s nearly impossible not to connect a specific smell with a childhood memory. Secretly, it gets better as you get older. As an adult, we are gifted with new “scent memories”–the smell of your child’s hair, the way the blanket smells when everyone is cuddling all together and the delicious smell of bacon crisping in the family kitchen. Create a new memory with a new recipe that could become your mother’s request each and every Mother’s Day going forward.

Simple Can Be Silly
One of the tricks to keeping magic and love alive when you become a mother is to listen to your children. Let them remind you of how important it is to be a kid sometimes, even when you are an adult. Watch them when they draw outside of the lines or dance in the rain and join them. Let them eat SunButter right from the jar. Part of being a mom is also being a kid at heart–this is the only way to know how to embrace your inner mom magic and to pass it on one day. And remember to lick the spoon!
