5 Easy Steps for Homemade SunButter Cups.

Wondering how to make your own SunButter chocolates? This recipe is SO easy even your kids can follow and make these delights. Here’s yet ANOTHER reason why managing any of the top 8 allergens can’t hold you back from enjoying a little chocolate decadence this holiday season. SunButter and your favorite allergy~friendly chocolate make creating your own Homemade SunButter Cups a reason to celebrate!

Get Your Supplies Together

1 cup of your favorite allergy-friendly chocolate chips

1 teaspoon shortening or coconut oil

1/2 cup of your preferred SunButter variety!

Tools:

Melter

Molds

Foil Wrappers

Step 1

Melt the allergy-friendly chocolate chips with the coconut oil/shortening.

Step 2

Pour a small portion of the melted chocolate into your favorite mold, about 1/2 tablespoon. Freeze for 20 to 30 minutes. This is the top portion of your SunButter cups.

Step 3

Spoon in about a 1/2 tablespoon of SunButter into the mold on top of the chocolate. I would suggest even emptying some of the oil which tends to float on the top of the jar. If you mix the SunButter well, it will be too smooth and won’t set as solidly. Freeze for 20 – 30 minutes. This is the middle portion.

Step 4

Fill the rest of each individual mold with melted chocolate. Freeze for 20 to 30 minutes. This is the bottom portion, and you want this to contain almost twice as much chocolate as the top, so about 1 tablespoon.

Step 5

Remove cups from freezer. Wrap individually in foil wrappers. I use both gold and silver wrappers. Handle as lightly as possible because your hand warmth will begin to melt your chocolates.

Step 6

ENJOY! We LOVE sharing with family, friends, and teachers! The BEST part? When they ask for the recipe because they like them so much!!
