Chocolate Banana Cream SunButter Trifle

Team SunButter

Are you ready for a FUN and EASY dessert recipe that requires NO baking and takes less than 30 minutes? Get ready for this Chocolate Banana Cream SunButter Trifle recipe!

I’m always looking for fun and easy recipes since I’m a working mom of 2 who cooks A LOT. My son has food allergies to dairy, eggs, nuts, and sesame, so I can’t pick up pre-made desserts at the store or order fancy desserts at restaurants. So, I’m forced to get creative at home!

And who doesn’t love dessert in a jar?

I sure do, because you can be creative with the ingredients, AND it’s SO easy to layer everything on top of each other.

Here’s how you make this delicious treat!

First, make the SunButter Dessert Sauce and Coconut Cream (directions on how to do it are below)

Then, layer one cookie in the bottom of each mason jar (these cookies fit just perfectly!).

Then add your sliced bananas.

Add your SunButter Dessert Sauce (don’t worry about being a little messy!).

And add your fluffy Coconut Cream.

Then layer it all over again one more time!

Now, here’s the full recipe for this fun and maybe, even a little FANCY dessert!?

Chocolate Banana Cream SunButter Trifle

Chocolate Trifle Ingredients:
8 chocolate cookies of your choice
Chocolate bar or large chocolate chips for shavings as trifle topper
1-1½ ripe bananas

Dessert Sauce Ingredients
¼ cup SunButter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon nondairy milk

Coconut Cream Ingredients
11 oz full-fat coconut milk (refrigerated overnight)
4 tablespoon powdered sugar

Directions:
1. Make SunButter Dessert Sauce by mixing SunButter, maple syrup, and non-dairy milk.
2. In a separate bowl, beat chilled coconut milk and powdered sugar with mixer until fluffy.
3. Layer one chocolate cookie at the bottom of each small mason jar. Layer a few sliced banana pieces, then SunButter Dessert Sauce, then Coconut Cream as the final topper.
4. Top with chocolate shavings, chocolate chips, or even a banana slice!
5. Store in fridge.

If you’re serving these for dinner, you can prep them ahead of time, but I’d make them the same day so the banana doesn’t brown too much.

They’re seriously delicious. My husband, daughter, AND son loved them. I hope you try them too!
