Our Favorite SunButter Recipes

Team SunButter

By Lauren Kossack

Did you know that a jar of SunButter is good for so much more than just a SB&J sandwich? It is! When it comes to making meals, I often get stuck in a rut and struggle to think outside of the box. Now I don’t have to! This past May, SunButter put together a FREE SunButter School Safe, Peanut Free Recipe Book. This Recipe Book is filled with 25 delicious recipes and serving suggestions. It’s broken down into five categories: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, School Snacks, Cookies & Bars, and Serving Suggestions. Now I can easily start my day and end my day with SunButter– here are some of my favorite recipes:

1. Crunch Granola
I’m always on the go in the morning and in need of a quick breakfast option. What mom isn’t?? One of my go-to breakfast options, is yogurt with some crunchy granola. However, my youngest has a peanut and tree nut allergy and it’s difficult to find granola that doesn’t contain nuts. The Crunch Granola recipe is perfect! It’s delicious and super easy to make. I make a double batch, store it in an airtight container, and it feeds me for two weeks. Plus my little men love to munch on it for a snack. Do you start your mornings with SunButter? You should!

2. Asian Noodle Broccoli Salad
What about lunch and dinner? This is my family’s new favorite SunButter recipe! I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed my Chinese noodles soaked in peanut sauce until I made this recipe. It’s almost an exact replica without the danger of the peanuts! If you like your food a little on the spicier side, try adding a squirt or two of Sriracha Sauce. Perfect for lunch, dinner or both!

3. Three Ingredient SunButter Cookies
Outside of making SB&J sandwiches, I use SunButter most frequently when baking. It makes great cookies, breads, frosting, and is delicious in ice cream. But the downside of baking anything is always the time baking requires. Sometimes my little men need a sweet treat fast. That’s when I make these three ingredient cookies! Yes, you heard that right — only three ingredients. My little men can’t have eggs so I substitute the egg for a flaxseed meal mixture (1 TBS Flaxseed Meal + 3 TBS Warm Water). These mix up in no time and only take 10 minutes to bake. They are the perfect ending to any day.
